Robin Sukhadia brings over 20 years of international community organizing, technology leadership, project management, music performance, and teaching experience to his arts education and fundraising areas of expertise. He is an active speaker, teacher, and artist focused on philanthropy, the arts, and social justice. His guidance and consultant services have empowered a wide range of non-profits and institutions. He is currently an in-demand non-profit fundraising and strategy consultant serving clients internationally. He is trained in the Technology of Participation (ToP) methodology for strategic planning and consensus building for organizations undergoing transformational change.

He currently teaches graduate level courses on fundraising and philanthropy at Claremont Graduate University in the Arts Management Program of the Drucker School of Business as an Associate Professor.

He served as the Major Gifts Officer at the Colburn School in Los Angeles for 4 years, where he oversaw a successful $10 million endowment fundraising campaign to double scholarships for the school's neediest students. Prior to his work at the Colburn School, Robin served as the Director of Development and Communications for artworxLA, an arts education non-profit serving continuation high school youth across Los Angeles. During his tenure, he implemented a fundraising strategy that helped raise over $3 million through foundations, corporations, individuals, and government agencies.

For over 10 years, Robin traveled internationally on behalf of Project Ahimsa, an organization committed to empowering impoverished youth through music education. He served as the organization's International Grants Program Director, working closely with NGOs worldwide to develop and sustain music education programs for the underserved.

His work with Project Ahimsa earned him a Fulbright Senior Research Award in 2010 to expand his work with music education for underserved communities in India. His research in India was focused on bolstering 6 music education programs across India and Nepal, each serving children in some of the poorest regions and communities of south Asia.

Robin holds an MFA in World Music from the California Institute of the Arts (2007), a BS in Biochemistry and BA in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1997).

I can’t recommend Robin Sukhadia highly enough as a development consultant. We started working with him at a crucial moment as we reopened our arts center following the pandemic. We needed to hire a new Development Director, overhaul our fundraising strategy, plan a major gala, and energize our board to support our fundraising. Robin helped us achieve and surpass all of our goals. He combines a data-driven approach, excellent strategic thinking, and an ability to work positively with staff and board members. Thanks to his help, we were able to hire and onboard a new Development Director, motivate our board, host the biggest fundraiser in our history, and carefully strategize the next phase of our fundraising efforts. On top of that, it’s just a pleasure to work with him!
